Equipped with its lateen (a triangular sail mounted at an angle), the dhow, which is a traditional Arab sailing vessel, has become a popular mode of transportation in various coastal regions in the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean area.

Traditionally used to transport goods from place to place, one can also enjoy sailing in this fun island-style way in Madagascar.
